What They Do

Network management ensures that the show's data infrastructure — streaming, NDI signal routing, Dante audio networking, VLAN configuration, and ISP connectivity — is stable and correctly configured for the event. The network management tech handles switch configuration, bandwidth allocation, and real-time monitoring of network health throughout the show.

On hybrid events where the stream is mission-critical, a dedicated network tech is the difference between a clean broadcast and a dropped feed. This position often works closely with the vMix or OBS op and the EIC to ensure that every network-dependent signal path in the production is stable from load-in through final drop.
