What They Do

The Lighting Designer (LD) is responsible for the creative and technical direction of the lighting system. The LD develops the lighting concept, selects fixtures and positions, programs the console, and supervises the lighting crew through rehearsal and show.

On corporate productions, the LD translates the client's brand and aesthetic into a lighting treatment that serves the stage picture across all visual outputs — camera, IMAG, and the room experience.
