Projection Operator
Handles setup, alignment, and operation of projection systems — from single projectors to stacked units for increased brightness or multi-projector blended arrays on wide screens.
The Projectionist handles setup, alignment, and operation of projection systems — single projectors, stacked units for increased brightness, or multi-projector blended arrays on wide screens and curved surfaces. The op sets throw distances, lens shift and zoom, keystone correction, color matching, and gamma across all projectors in the rig. Black levels, brightness uniformity, and screen coverage are owned by this position.
Common projectors: Barco UDX series and HDX series, Christie Boxer and Crimson series, and Panasonic PT-MZ / PT-RZ series. Edge-blending is typically handled in-projector or through a Analog Way Live Premier, Barco E2/S3, or similar multi-screen processor.
