A1 — Audio Lead

The A1 owns the complete audio signal chain — PA system design and tuning, gain structure, I/O patch, and the front-of-house mix. On a corporate show this covers speech reinforcement, show audio, and music playback from a digital console. The A1 coordinates with the Engineer in Charge (EIC) on any cross-discipline audio routing (playback, confidence, timecode) and serves as the audio department's primary point of contact for production.

Common consoles include the Yamaha QL/CL series, Avid S6L, Behringer Wing, and SSL Live.
