What They Do

The Monitor Engineer operates a dedicated stage monitor console — managing personal monitor mixes, IEM feeds, and wedge levels for talent, speakers, and performers. Monitor engineering is a separate position from front-of-house on productions where talent have individualized monitor needs or where stage complexity warrants a dedicated mix position. Works closely with the A2 and RF/Comms tech on wireless feed management and pack coordination.
