AV Installation Technician

Installation technicians handle integrated and permanent AV — the systems built into a space rather than deployed for a single event. This covers conference room systems, ceiling and array microphone deployments, display integration, and the full commissioning process that makes a room work reliably day after day.

What the Role Owns

Responsibilities

  • System Integration Installs and integrates AV components into permanent environments — racks, displays, control systems, and cabling — to a finished, professional standard.
  • Conference Room Systems Deploys and commissions conference room audio — ceiling microphone arrays, DSP configuration, and integration with UC platforms.
  • Cabling & Infrastructure Runs structured cabling, terminates connections, labels everything, and documents the install for whoever maintains the system after handoff.
  • Commissioning & Testing Tests every installed system end-to-end, confirms it performs to spec, and hands off with documentation that the next technician can actually use.
